Over the years, our Farmer's Market Israeli Couscous has won fans young and old.  It's a delicious mixture of large, pearled couscous, smoked chicken, feta cheese, olives, and then a million different veggies, like snap peas, mushrooms, carrots, broccoli, peppers, and anything else that strikes our fancy or is perfectly in season.  Every bite is different, and we're always so happy to hear how so many kids love it!  Maybe it's the little balls of pasta that are so fun to eat, or maybe it's just that the whole thing is so colorful, but it seems to be a hit all around!

This time around, we got excited about pairing this dish with a new version of our fabulous Porch Pockets!  We're stuffing them with cheese, sausage or mushrooms, spinach, and Italian seasonings.  Dipped in a fresh basil pesto marinara, it will be a dinner appetizer that you'll remember well after the dishes are done!  (Plus, if you have leftovers, they are great in kids' lunches, or even as a quick breakfast if you're running out the door and need something to grab!)

After your very healthy, veggie-laden dinner, you'll want to reward yourself with a tiny treat of Mini Cupcakes from our friends at Tart Sweets.  You won't even have to choose between the two great flavors - have one of each (I mean, they are mini, so, more or less, zero calories!).

Stock up for the weekend or a busy weeknight with our GYTTW meals this week:

  • Bacon Cheeseburger Casseroles are such a family favorite - we make them all the time, and I still cannot understand how the ingredients we use come together to create something so deliciously similar to an actual Bacon Cheeseburger!  We always sell out of these, so if you want one, make sure to get on board!
  • This week we're also doing a new variation on our lovely Stratas - a Smoked Salmon Strata.  It's the same great basic egg casserole, but with the awesome flavor that smoked salmon, red onion, capers & cream cheese add to anything.  No need to go out for Sunday brunch - you'll be ready to host your own with this casserole!
  • And keep your Friday night fun rolling with our great Pizza Packs.  Let your kids top their own pizzas - you may be surprised what combinations they come up with!  I always steal one of these packs for my family so that we can have an easy dinner night that is still healthy.  It is also a great way to get my kids into the kitchen without any stress on my part!

In addition to all that, we have lots of Optional Extras & Camino Goodies, so once you have your order all figured out, just email and let us know what to get going for you!

Thanks, and we'll look forward to seeing you on the porch,

Claire & Alex
